About

“Pastor Connections” is a network of  pastors created with the specific intent and restricted focus of encouragement and cooperation. This blog serves as a daily virtual meeting place for pastors to make meaningful connections and create reciprocal ministry relationships.

PastorConnections.com is not an elitist group of pastors/bloggers. All pastors are urged to join the conversation by leaving comments regularly and submitting guest blog ideas by email to submit@pastorconnections.com.*

PastorConnections.com is structured around a five-day category blogging cycle. Every weekday, you can expect fresh insight from a respected pastor based on the following schedule:

Monday – The Developing Pastor
Whether pastoring a church of twenty or a thousand, every pastor has the opportunity to develop those around him. To miss this opportunity is to miss the very heart of what it means to follow Jesus and make disciples. Every Monday, pastors on the front lines of real ministry will offer practical advice on all things development: staffing, team development, leadership assessment, volunteer assimilation, and so on.

Tuesday – The Innovative Pastor
A thriving local church must always be above the accusation of doing “business as usual.” The effective pastor must do more than merely respond to present needs among the people. He must also be able to see ahead to the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow represented in his constantly changing congregation. On Tuesdays, PastorConnections.com will teem with ideas for innovation in areas like technology, worship, teaching, outreach, and more.

Wednesday – The Authentic Pastor
The most effective way for every pastor to protect himself from moral failure and public scandal is increased authenticity, and encouragement can only be offered when discouragement is unveiled. Every Wednesday, PastorConnections.com will be the place to pull back the curtain and read stories of discouragement turned to hope from real pastors dealing with real problems.

Thursday – The Disciplined Pastor
Surviving the challenges of leading a church requires discipline in every area of life.
Sermon preparation, time management skills, personal Bible study, and ministry goal setting are all items of vital concern to the disciplined pastor. Each Thursday, the conversation will focus on increasing personal discipline for greater ministry success.

Friday – The Healthy Pastor
The healthy pastor is daily aware of the delicate balance between church and home. Overwork and neglect of the family infect like a virus and often lead to burn out and failed marriages. Every pastor’s first priority is to protect his family. At PastorConnections.com, every week ends with down-to-earth tips for “getting away” in order to maintain a healthy balance between ministry and family.
